Welcome Back !

Hello from the Commissioners corner

It looks like summer has come and gone already this year and it is time to turn our thoughts to Scouting once more.

I would like to welcome our new and returning members to the 2nd St Albert Scout Group. We had a successful 2006-2007 season and all of the indicators are that we will have an even better one this year.

This year we are welcoming youth and parents from the 4th St. Albert Scout Group and 12th St. Albert Scout Group. We hope that you enjoy your time with us and we welcome any ideas that you may have.

We are also running a combined Scout Troop with the 5th St. Albert Scout Group at Keenooshayo Elementary School on Wednesday nights. I'd like to welcome back the youth and parents from the 5th St. Albert Scout Group as we run an exciting and fun program for our Scouts.

Our Section Scouters have some interesting activities planned out for this season. We have tripled the size of our Wednesday night Beaver Colony and all of our other sections have increased in size this year. This is pleasant surprise and I hope to see this trend continue over the coming years.

I would also like to thank and welcome our new and returning crop of leaders and parent volunteers who have so graciously offered their services to help us to provide an excellent and worthwhile program for our youth. Your service will go a long way to making this year a successful one.

If any parent has any unique skills or ideas they could offer to our program, please let the Section Scouter know. They may be able to incorporate them into the seasons plan and will assist us in improving the quality of our program.
