On the Hill
Scouter Jennifer Smith (Bubbles) - December 14, 2007

One of the requirements for Beavers is to hold outdoor fun activities on a regular basis. In this article, "Bubbles" tells us about a nite of fun!
On Wednesday, December 12th, 2007 our Beaver Colony went out tobogganing at Liberton Hill. After some crazy afternoon weather we wound up having a beautiful night with lots of fresh snow to play in.
We made this a family event, inviting parents and siblings. Some youth even brought along a few friends. After running up and down the hill, and taking out a few leaders with high speed sleds, we all enjoyed hot chocolate and treats.

All Beavers in attendance received their Winter Beaver badge for their camp blanket. A great time was enjoyed by all parents and youth (obvious by the smiles on everyone’s faces).
We are looking forward to our next trip back up the hill when we join all the other sections on Monday, January 7th, 2008.
