Cub Campfire

Our Startup for 2007-08

This year, Scouter Gerhard, our Akela, wanted to start off the cub year for the Monday Falcon Cub Pack, with a fun outdoor activity.

On Monday night, Sept 24th, the cubs, tenderpads, parents, scouters and guests gathered in Lions Park. Cubs were given a glimpse into this year's plan for badge work, then they were divided into groups to play soccer or tag.

Once the fire was ready, each cub was given a weiner to roast over the fire and a drink of hot chocolate. Parents and leaders took the opportunity to catch up on what everyone did throughout the summer break and check to see where we needed parents volunteers for the coming year.

We ended the night with a grand howl, putting out the fire and ensuring that everyone got home safely.
