Welcome to 2nd St. Albert Scout Group. We serve the neighborhoods west of St. Albert Road in the city of
St. Albert (see the city map).

We welcome youth and parents from Deer Ridge, Lacombe Park Estates,
Lacombe Park, Liberton Terrace Housing Co-op, Grandin, Heritage Lakes, Mission, and North Ridge.

We have programs for boys and girls:

• Beavers (5-7 years old),
• Cubs (8-10 years old), and
• Scouts (11-13 years old).

The 2008-09 Scouting year is quickly approaching and is probably the last thing on your minds as you pack up and head out for a well-earned vacation. So why all the fuss?

2007-08 saw 20 additional youth register as we grew from 65 beavers, cubs and scouts to 85 registered youth. We are expecting an even more fun-packed year and are planning for more youth to join. With this expected growth, we will be making a few changes starting in September. Read on to see more details.

Buffalo Plains Area has held a "Cuboree" for the last 10+ years. This is the first year in the last decade that we had the opportunity for our cubs to attend. Six of our cubs and three of our leaders participated in a weekend of fun and adventure at the Lake Chickakoo Scout Camp during the last weekend in May.

This year Buffalo Plains and Western Trails Areas held a Cuboree during the May 30th - June 1st weekend. More than 175 cubs and 95 leaders from 17 different cub packs gathered at the Lake Chickakoo Scout Camp.

6 cubs and 3 leaders from 2nd St. Albert Scout Group participated in this camp and they had a great time. Read more about it and take a look at their photo gallery.
